Gardaí ‘confident’ of making tiger kidnapping charges

GARDAÍ are “fairly confident” of bringing charges in connection with last week’s tiger kidnapping.

Sources yesterday said the massive garda investigation — which involves 100 detectives — should be in a position to submit files to the Director of Public Prosecutions in a few weeks.

Senior officers believe they have rounded up the entire gang involved in the kidnapping and robbery and do not plan, at the moment, to carry out any further arrests.
