Shannon plane alert
Airport fire crews surrounded the plane after what fans said was an unusually bumpy landing at about 10.30pm following their flight from Bristol.
Passengers said they noticed a smell of smoke in the cabin shortly after they had landed and were told the brakepads had overheated, causing smoke.
Ryanair and airport bosses said there was no fire and said firefighters had been called in as a precaution.
No one was hurt in the landing.
A fan said: “It was pretty hairy during landing and we were left waiting in the plane for a long time.”
