Irish jockey dies in Australia

A RISING star of Irish horse racing died in Australia yesterday with his mother at his side.

He had fallen from a horse at a race meeting on Friday.

Damien Anthony Murphy of Bishopsland, Kildare town, turned 23 last month and was enjoying a successful career as a jockey in Australia.
