WOMEN who exercise can substantially cut their risk of developing breast cancer, according to research.

Moderate housework had the biggest obvious effect on cutting a woman’s risk, the study part-funded by the charity Cancer Research UK found.

Around 2,300 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in Ireland every year and approximately 650 women die from the disease every year.
