Festive funds: €1m bonus pushes Lotto jackpot over €7m mark

ONE of the country’s biggest-ever Lotto winners could be celebrating tonight if a single ticket-holder matches all six numbers for the €7 million-plus jackpot.

There were no winners of the top prize of €5.93m in Saturday’s bumper Christmas draw, for which National Lottery bosses added 1m to the jackpot for the festive season.

This should generate massive sales in the lead-up to tonight’s main draw, and the €7m mark is expected to be passed by the time last entrants pick up their tickets at around 7.30pm.
