IRELAND is luring visitors like never before. But the Irish going abroad are out-spending the tourists coming into this country.

Irish abroad are out-spending visiting tourists

Between July and September there were 2,146,000 Irish visits abroad — and they spent €1,814 million.

Earnings from the 2,506,000 visitors to our shores during the third quarter amounted to €1,746m. This left a net outflow of €68m.
