FIANNA Fáil has said that the question of recouping money destined for the party’s funds, but used by the former Taoiseach Charles Haughey, is a matter for their legal advisers.

Last night, a spokeswoman for the party said the Moriarty Report was very comprehensive and its contents were now a matter for the party’s legal advisers.

The tribunal found Mr Haughey accepted payments of £9.1 million over a 17-year period, the equivalent of up to €45 million in today’s money.
