THE huge Limerick suburb of Caherdavin — adjacent to Moyross — is set to be transferred from the administration of Limerick County Council to Limerick City Council.

It is the first major breakthrough in the long drawn out boundary saga.

The county council is understood to be well disposed towards the new plan, which was drawn up by former Dublin city manager, John Fitzgerald.
