THE long-awaited first report of the Moriarty Tribunal will be published early next week, according to reliable sources.

Moriarty Tribunal to publish first report

The tribunal — chaired by Mr Justice Michael Moriarty and inquiring into payments to the late Charles Haughey and also to former Fine Gael minister Michael Lowry — is now over nine years in existence.

The report will focus on the Haughey module and is expected to be handed to the Ceann Comhairle either on Tuesday or Wednesday. The tribunal is then expected to make copies of the report available to the public.
