Prestigious award for caravan park

A KERRY caravan park has won the industry’s top national award.

Fáilte Ireland’s award of excellence — the best caravan and camping in Ireland — has gone to Fleming’s of White Bridge, Killarney.

Run by the Fleming family for three generations, the four-star facility on the banks of the River Flesk is operated by Hillary and Moira Fleming.

’We’ve won many awards over the years, but this is by far the most prestigious,’ said Moira Fleming.

The tree-shaded site has 92 pitches, as well as mobile homes for hire and a host of on-site services.

The Irish domestic market accounts for the biggest share, 30%, of business on the touring site, but business from the North and Britain is growing.
