Economists give budget thumbs up

ECONOMISTS believe Budget 2007 will stimulate the economy at a time when economic growth is still double the European rate.

However they do not see this posing a threat to the future financial health of the country.

Austin Hughes, chief economist, IIB Bank, regards the budget as very positive.
