Students vote for ‘Bebo free zones’

HARDWORKING students at the University of Limerick, concerned that colleagues are hogging university computers for fun, and reducing their availability for academic purposes, have now won a vote to stem the Bebo craze sweeping the campus.

More than 4,000 students at UL are registered with Bebo, the social networking website.

But so many are hooking up to it during college hours that others wishing to use computers for course projects are being prevented by the Bebo browsers.
