Hobbs warns against alienating other cultures

IRELAND and its European neighbours must not alienate other cultures and replicate the mistakes made in the US, financial expert Eddie Hobbs has warned.

Making other cultures welcome in our workforce helps reduced costs on staff turnover, boost morale and ramp up sales, Mr Hobbs said yesterday.

His comments to a conference in the south-east come in the wake of a new survey which shows 72% of employers in the region believe compliance with diversity legislation is important.
