Public urged to view model of €280m city development

THE planners of a €280 million city centre development in Waterford that will create 1,300 jobs, including 600 during the construction phase, say they’re anxious that as many people as possible view the model of their development which will be on display until close of business today.

KRM Construction Partnership has also unveiled details of their proposals for managing traffic flows to and from their 5.1 acre site bordering Michael Street, New Street, Stephen Street and Brown’s Lane.

The company’s plans involve 60 shops including three anchor units; a 150-bedroom four-star hotel with a conference centre and leisure facilities; high-quality residential accommodation; arts/cultural facilities and underground parking for over 600 vehicles. Also included is a rooftop viewing area that will offer 360-degree panoramas of the city.
