IRISH kids will be on top of the world next year when a charity climber plants their flags on the highest peaks of the seven continents.

A flag from one primary school will be placed at each of the summits during Ian McKeever’s world record attempt to ascend the highest mountains in 180 days.

The country’s schools are being invited to submit a flag design based on one of seven themes — love, health, family, justice, peace, quality and hope — to be in with a chance of winning.
