A MAJOR road safety blitz aimed at Cork’s growing Polish community will be launched this week.

Leaflets warning of the dangers of drink driving, and offering advice on the National Car Test, child safety and seat belts have been prepared in Polish.

They will be distributed to the city’s estimated 25,000-strong Polish community by two voluntary organisations working with immigrants in the city — My Cork and The Cork Networking Committee.
