Tánaiste eyes fresh talks with consultants

TÁNAISTE and Health Minister Mary Harney is optimistic that negotiations between the Government and hospital consultants on a new contract can get underway again soon.

Despite the fact the talks have been stalled since last February, Ms Harney believes the two sides can get down to business again.

A new contract with hospital consultants is one of the key elements of the Government’s overall healthcare reforms.
