O’Dea to meet gardaí after petrol bomb attack

CABINET Minister Willie O’Dea is to meet senior gardaí in Limerick today to discuss the law and order situation in the wake of the suspected petrol bomb attack which left two children in a critical condition.

The Defence Minister and Limerick East TD knows the family involved in the horrific incident and has been in touch with relatives to offer his sympathy and support.

The minister’s spokesperson said he was concerned about the general level of crime in the area and particularly disturbed by the suspected petrol bomb attack.

“It is a very upsetting situation and Mr O’Dea has been in contact with relatives of the children involved,” the spokesperson said.

“The minister is very concerned about what has happened and the level of crime in the area and will be meeting with senior gardaí to discuss this situation.”
