Second-round CAO offers bring cheer to almost 1,000 students

ALMOST 1,000 people have been offered a place for the first time today in this year’s second round of CAO college offers.

The 949 people getting this good news bring the number of applicants to be offered at least one place so far to 50,825, or just over 80% of the 63,170 total applicants this year.

Out of 3,577 offers due by post at applicant’s homes this morning — and available to check online since 6am today — 1,317 are for places on Level 8 (honours bachelor degree) courses and the remaining 2,260 are for programmes offering Level 7 (ordinary bachelor degree) and Level 6 (higher certificate) awards. They include 1,000 people already offered a place last week.
