Luas collision causes traffic mayhem

TRAFFIC chaos was caused in city centre Dublin yesterday afternoon after a crash on the Luas line at Queen Street.

The street in the north inner city was closed off after a tram, travelling from Tallaght to Connolly station, and a van collided. The accident happened after 3.30pm.

Gardaí directed traffic away from the scene and the street was closed off until the tram and van removed.
