Rose festival hailed a success by organisers

ORGANISERS of the Rose of Tralee festival last night hailed the event a roaring success with 150,000 visitors flocking to the Kerry town for the fun.

Close to one million viewers also watched the two-part televised final.

RTÉ said more than 570,000 people tuned in to watch Monday’s selection first-part programme.
