HUNDREDS of wannabe pop stars yesterday sang their hearts out for a place in the You’re A Star talent book.

From 3.30am budding performers queued in the rain for the hit television talent show.

Up to 400 young hopefuls were turned out during the day at Dublin’s Helix venue in their bid for fame and fortune.
