Boy, 11, dies in farm accident

AN 11-year-old boy died from his injuries yesterday, following an accident involving a tractor and potato harvester on a neighbour’s farm.

Gardaí along with the Health and Safety Authority are conducting separate investigations into the cause of the accident which claimed the life of Richard Ryan from Ballygorey, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny.

The tragic accident was the 13th death on Irish farms this year.
