THE National Implementation Body is expected to make a statement on the long-running battle over redundancy pay for Greencore workers when it meets again tomorrow afternoon.

The move is planned just one week before the deadline for Greencore to make a detailed submission on how it intends to spend the €98m allocated to the successful and environmental wind-down of operations in Mallow and Carlow.

The company also has detail its plans to compensate the sugar factory workers and honour pension entitlements.
