Frankie’s tour of country raises funds for sick children

A BIKER who travelled 1,500km around the country to raise funds for a children’s appeal is home safe and sound, albeit a bit saddle sore.

Fun-loving father-of-two Frankie McEvoy arrived home on Monday evening after a round-the-country solo run to raise funds for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Dublin. Though home just a few hours, he spent yesterday getting his silver, Honda 650 Deauville ready for another charity run which sees close to 100 bikers do the same tour in the opposite direction.

“Everything went fine,” the taxi driver said yesterday. “The weather was perfect. I did meet some windy weather when I crossed into the North and the open highways there were a bit tricky. But everything went great.”
