THOUSANDS of euro have been flooding in to an appeal set up to help three children who lost their parents and baby sister in an accidental fire at their Waterford city home.

City mayor Hilary Quinlan has officially launched an appeal fund for Cian, Brianna and Aaron O’Regan from Ballybeg who lost their parents Bryan and Johanna and younger sister Niamh in a fire at their home in the early hours of Tuesday, June 6. All funds raised by the appeal will be used to support the three young children.

Mr Quinlan said it is a tragedy which has not just touched the people of Waterford but families nationwide.
