Gardaí probing sex assault appeal to identify man

GARDAÍ have appealed to the public to help identify a young Asian man as part of an investigation into a sexual assault.

Officers are investigating the serious sexual assault of a woman at Charlotte Quay Dock on Ringsend Road in Dublin 4 on Thursday, May 18, at around 1.30am.

Gardaí at Irishtown Station said they have identified several people from CCTV footage that they wish to interview to aid them with their investigation.

They have appealed to the public to help them identify one man, described as Asian, in his 20s, around 5ft 11ins in height, of thin build, clean-shaven and with dark short hair.

A garda spokesman said officers want to speak with him to eliminate him from their investigation.
