GENERAL practitioners are under reporting sexually transmitted infections (STIs), a new report has found.

Dr Murray conducted a study in 2004 on behalf of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre and the Irish College of General Practitioners.

Speaking at this week’s meeting of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine in Dublin, she said the level of reporting varied according to the type of STI.
