Man’s body recovered from River Shannon

A man's body has been recovered from the River Shannon.

Man’s body recovered  from River Shannon

Limerick Marine Search and Rescue were called to the scene just before 8am this morning.

The man, who is believed to be in his fifties, was not seen entering the water and it is understood the body was not in the river for a long period of time.

Gardaí say they are following a definite line to establish the man’s identity.
