A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a traffic accident in Co Limerick yesterday, bringing to 162 the number of people who have died on the country’s roads this year.

The man in his mid 20s was killed after his motorbike was in collision with a car near Ballybricken on the Herbertstown road about seven miles from Limerick city.

The accident happened shortly before 11am yesterday on a bend in the road.
