THE North faces another 20 years of strife if the Stormont assembly recalled today fails to cut a power-sharing deal, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has warned.

Mr Ahern insisted the November 24 deadline to set up a cross-party executive was unbreakable and if the opportunity was missed it would leave the peace process in limbo for decades.

The Taoiseach’s remarks came as the Northern Assembly met for the first time in more than three years.
