Airport debt ‘a broken promise’

FINE GAEL leader Enda Kenny attacked the Government yesterday for failing to honour its commitment on a debt-free Cork Airport.

The controversy over who pays for the airport’s new €160 million terminal will become a major issue in the south ahead of the next general election, he warned.

“At the moment, the Transport Minister is saying and doing nothing on this issue,” Mr Kenny said.
