Frankie revs up for a worthy cause

A BIG-HEARTED taxi driver is to swap the crowded streets of Waterford for the highways and byways of the country in an effort to raise funds for a very worthy appeal.

Father-of-two Frankie McEvoy will hop on his high-powered motorbike on June 5, for a 1,000km trek across the country to raise funds for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Dublin.

After the week-long solo stint, he takes part in another one across the country with up to 100 bikers, before heading to the US for a similar fundraising cruise with 30 others.
