AN online footwear retailer which claims its shoes help you lose weight and reduce stress was launched in Ireland yesterday.

The British-based www.lovethoseshoes.com has sold 87 million shoes across Europe since it was founded in 2003. The footwear is designed so the heel is at a lower level than the sole, which is believed to better relax the body.

The shoes claim to help the wearer relieve back pain, improve posture and circulation, and burn calories.
