Ailing Haughey set to see out final days at home, say friends

AILING former Taoiseach Charles Haughey is resting at home in Kinsealy as his family prepare for his final days following another stint in hospital last week.

There were conflicting reports at the weekend that Mr Haughey may be closer than ever to death, although insiders continued to insist there was not yet any deathbed watch.

Last night, one close source said Mr Haughey’s condition remained much the same as in recent weeks with a steady but slow decline in his health.
