VANDALISM could force the closure of parts of a world-famous tourist attraction.

Jason Coulter, the manager of the 200-acre Blarney Castle Estate, said yesterday that the vandalism is getting so bad, he may not be able to guarantee public safety on some of estate walkways.

“We have miles and miles of walkways through the estate,” he said. “It is an extreme action, but we may have to look at closing off access to some of the walks because we won’t be able to guarantee public safety.”
