IRISH researchers have found a common garden bug which could hold the key to cleaning up a global toxic chemical waste problem.

The bug could not only clean up the dangerous material, called styrene, but also convert it into a biodegradable plastic.

The plastic can be used to make cups, cutlery, packaging, medical implants and a range of other products.
