Nurses pledge support for industrial action

SIPTU’s nursing branch has pledged to support any groups within the health service who take industrial action to oppose cutbacks.

Speaking at the convention in Dublin, union vice-president Jack O’Connor said they would fight for the right to quality healthcare for every citizen:.

“Any group of members, professional or otherwise, taking a stand against cutbacks in the health service will receive the full industrial support of this union.”
