Gardaí probe deaths of two men

AT LEAST one murder investigation is expected to get underway in Cork city today following the discovery yesterday of the bodies of two men at separate locations.

Gardaí probe deaths of two men

The incidents, one of which was thought to have been a death by stabbing, were not related. The first body, of an Eastern European man in his late 30s or early 40s, was found lying on the path outside a house at Rockgrove, Lower Glanmire Road. The body, which apparently displayed several stab-like wounds, was found just after 4pm. The house is one of a number in the area which has been converted into flats.

Several Eastern European migrant workers were living in the house, and some of these were, with the aid of an interpreter, helping gardaí in their inquiries.
