Gardaí comb hackney driver’s car for clues to Ennis murder

A HUGE forensic examination of murdered hackney driver Liam Moloney’s car was underway at garda headquarters in Dublin last night.

The killer or killers made what is described as an “amateurish” attempt to burn out the maroon Mazda car after it was abandoned behind a pub in Barefield, outside Ennis.

Forensic scientists attached to the State Laboratory and garda forensic experts were examining the car last night as teams of detectives and uniformed gardaí carried out door-to-door enquiries in the Clarecastle area.
