THE break-up of Aer Rianta into three separate companies will be completed on schedule by mid-summer, Transport Minister Seamus Brennan indicated yesterday.

Despite ongoing tension between the Department and Aer Rianta unions over the break-up plans, Mr Brennan told the Dáil yesterday that he fully expected to complete his plans in the next six months.

“When the Government made the decision last July, it said it should be implemented by July 2004. We are well within that timeframe. I fully expect to meet that deadline,” he said.
