TWO army quartermasters have applied for discharges after an investigation revealed an elaborate ruse that allowed members of the reserve forces in Munster to dine in style.

An investigation by military police revealed that the non-commissioned officers responsible for feeding the reservists had been claiming and were being paid more than necessary.

The investigation centred on a barracks in the Southern Command area.
