Darkness set to descend on Meteor awards

ROCK group The Darkness have confirmed that they will perform at the sixth annual Meteor Music Awards in Dublin.

The spandex-clad band, who scooped the Meteor Award for Best International Group in 2004, will take to the stage in Dublin’s Point Theatre on February 2, 2006.

The band’s debut album, Permission to Land, sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwide - achieving multi-platinum status in Ireland.
