THE OPPOSITION will today amplify calls for Enterprise Minister Mícheál Martin’s resignation as the fallout from the Travers report is discussed in the Dáil.

Last night, as Mr Martin said the report had exonerated him of any wrongdoing, opposition parties joined in a chorus of criticism and immediately called for the former Health Minister to resign.

Fine Gael health spokesman Liam Twomey said that Mr Martin should accept responsibility for the shortcomings of his former department.
