Town in shock at river deaths
SHOP windows are decorated and the streets are much busier, yet it certainly doesn't feel like Christmas in Enniscorthy. The swollen Slaney river, which has claimed five lives in the past month, roars through the town.
Somewhere in its muddied waters are the remains of two men, formerly from the town and a third from Wexford town, just 15 minutes drive away. The bodies of two others have been recovered and they have been laid to rest.
