Wash your hands, disease agency warns food workers

STAFF who handle food could pose a health risk to consumers if they are ill or do not wash their hands, experts warned yesterday.

The National Disease Surveillance Centre (NDSC) has published guidelines to combat food-borne diseases in businesses that serve the public.

The 96-page report calls on employees who handle food to wash their hands and immediately report any illness from which they may be suffering.
