FOUR out of five people believe alcohol-related problems in Ireland have increased over the past five years, research shows.

Teenage drinking and alcohol-related street violence are considered the most serious, followed by drink driving and drunkenness in public places.

The research, commissioned by the Department of Health and Children, was launched yesterday to coincide with a new national campaign to tackle binge-drinking.
