Brewer seeks name help

LOCALS in the west are being asked to come up with a name for Galway’s first ever craft beer.

First cousins Ronan Brennan and Aidan Murphy from Athenry are running a website competition to come up with the perfect name for their new beer, which will be pale in colour like a standard lager but have a hop flavour and aroma like an ale.

“It will be a unique, fresh, and locally brewed beer that is specifically targeted at adventurous and open minded consumers” according to the Murphys.

The beer will be hand-crafted in small batches, using a microbrewery, and will be available in a limited number of pubs in and around Galway including the Roisin Dubh, The Beer House, Tigh Neachtain, The Blue Note, Massimo, and The Hop Inn.

Everybody who participates in the naming of the beer on www.nameyourbeer.net will receive an invitation to the launch.
