THE committee of TDs and senators charged with collecting evidence in the Judge Brian Curtin case will hold its first hearings at the end of the month.

The Irish Examiner understands that the committee, chaired by Fianna Fail TD Denis O’Donovan, will meet for two days on August 25 and 26 to hear evidence linking the Circuit Court judge to a US child pornography website.

Evidence gathered by the committee will be reported back to the Oireachtas where the Dáil and Seanad will debate a motion calling for the impeachment of Judge Curtin.
