Irish shoppers bring Boston Christmas bonanza

IRISH women are blitzing Boston in a €10 million Christmas shopping frenzy.

Knockdown prices combined with low-cost flights by Aer Lingus and American Airlines out of Shannon and Dublin has triggered an exodus with about 5,000 hitting the shop till you drop trail to the Massachusetts capital.

The shopping exploits of one group of 15 Limerick women have even made it to the pages of the Boston Globe newspaper.
